  31.     Not really. I use an Intel 400/internal modem and 4-6 KByte/sec is about
  32. average but 7+ KByte/sec isn't uncommon. These modems support 115,200 bps.

  39.     My ISP uses USR 28.8-LAPM modems and we Connect 14.4/REL-LAPM-COMP and there
  40. are no problems.
  41.     I've used Windows v3.1 and now WfW v3.11 with this modem for over 2 years
  42. and have yet to experience my first COM error. All my Comm software is set
  43. at 115,200 bps.
  44.     Not sure which Intel you have but check the manual and see if there is a
  45. <"B=(n)> AT setting. If there is try setting <"B=3> and save it with &W.
  46. AT&F"B=3&W. Then run the ATZ setting exclusively after changing and saving
  47. with the &W any other default settings you may have changed.
